I would like a quick registration hack for vb3. I would like to put it in place of the unregistered welcome message. If someone could do this it would be very much appriciated.
Thank you,
Michael Schrader

Could you tell me where it is built in because i am having trouble finding it
When you go the register page, you can select "Quick Registration" under the rules before clicking on the "Agree" button.

This doesn't still exist in 3.0.1, does it?

Im wondering the same thing.
I had a quick registration on my 2.2.9 so when a non member came to the site, it was at the top, 4 lines of info they had to enter and they were all set.
Im not able to find out how to turn that on if its there, or where a hack to add it would be?

I too am looking for a quick register option whereby a new user can enter FROM THE FRONT PAGE his username, email and password. I wonder how to handle the need for user to accept usage terms and verification images. Perhaps AFTER they have entered their username, email and password, they would be taken to a page to show terms (to be accepted) and prompted to punch in chars from verification image.
In this way, they at least have committed to registering from the front page afterwhich it is a nobrainer to complete the final steps.
Am I on the right track?
