Hope this is the right forum to ask this? If not, I apologize in advance!

How can I make the location in post bit cut off after so many charectars? I have a few members that have decided to add a novel into thier location spot. And with the top postbit it does,'t wrap itself, it just continues on for the length of the location! it is making some posts stretch past the borders making the need to scroll.

I just want to know if I can have it so it would look like ...
"Location: somewhere beyond my ... "

Instead of ...
"Location: Some where beyond my dreams, where locations are fake and too long. Help me escape."

You can limit the lenght of the profile field in the Admin CP, alternativly:


$post['field2'] = fetch_trimmed_title($post['field2'], X);


Change X to the number of characters and place it after:

$post['posts'] = vb_number_format($post['posts']);

in includes/functions_showthread.php
