I am currently re-designing PC Review, co-incididing with the release of vBulletin 3.0.

The mock up design is http://www.pcreview.co.uk/test and the current one here http://www.pcreview.co.uk

The test design will have some spelling errors and bad coding, but I am just after comments on the layout and design (I will clean the coding when creating the page properly).

Can you let me know what you think of the new design, and if you think it is better or worse, and what should be changed?

I'd go for the existing one as well. The menu buttons on the new one are the only part I really like about that new design.

Plus, I think the old one is easier to convert to a CSS-based design :)

I think I may create a hybrid between the two designs, and remove some of the stuff from the old design menus, and add the drop down menus.

Do you think it would be best at a fixed width, or flexible? I'm all for using CSS, so if its easier - excellent!!

the current on you have is much better.

I have modified the new design, does this one look any better?

I agree with the others, stick with the existing one you have.

I'm still slightly more partial to your existing one of the revised new one...

OK, last change this time, I promise ;)

What about now, with the cross between the origional and the new one?

How do you do that thing on the front page for the latest forum posts?

Its just a hack in the VB2 section somewhere - just search for latest posts on non-vb page :)

Menu is 'broken' in Mozilla, in that the buttons don't align with the background image and thus display oddly out of place.

Only when I zoom out to 2% textsize do I get to see the menu buttons aligned with the background image properly. :)

Other than that issue, I think it looks good, very nice :)
