My first request for my new vb!! <3 Yay!

I have a roleplay board, and all of my users have to register seperate accounts for each of thier rpg characters. This is VERY annoying having to login and out, especially when you have alot of characters. This also does not give a very accurate user list, plus the problems with people abusing multiple accounts, ect, ect...

I would like a User Alias feature that'd work something like this:

[UserCP]
Add an Alias - create alias name, upload/input icon for alias and add siggy.
Edit/Manage Aliases - delete/edit an alias

[AdminCP]
Turn off Alias Feature
Allow Use of Alias by forums.
Allow Use of Alias by Usergroup.
Edit Members Aliases
Set requirements for Alias features (icon sizes, siggy size, max amount of alias a user is allowed to have, ect)

[Thread View]
Default account name will show as normal.
When an alias is used, it will show the Alias name in the place of the username with "user: name" in small text under so you know who the original user is. Icon/siggy/ ect will show up depending on the alias you choose.

[Post Thread/Reply]
Choose Alias from dropdown menu
Default will be original account name.
Where Alias is disabled, dropdown menu will not show. :]

Anyone that could create this mod would be my hero! <3 I'm sure this would be very useful for other gaming boards, or anyone that would like to give their users some nice extra features.

Bumping, Bumping....

C'mon darlings! Doesn't this look delightful? >:] Add the extra feature of allowing your real registered name to be "hidden" to all but admins or certain usergroups, and this is a wonderfully fun little mod for popular boards too... And think of the greatness for rpg boards! No more worrying that people are registering double accounts to try and fool you? XD Still the control of one account per user, with the freedom of having multiple nick names, avatars and siggys! <3

Infact, I am also willing to get someone a gift if they code this. <3 It would be soooo useful!

Bumping Bumping... Look! 3.0 final is out! What a perfect time to begin coding this highly useful and sensational hack for us coding inept! Do it before someone else takes all the glory! >:]

I would kill for a mod that did this. I too run an RPG board in which everyone has many, many alternate accounts. I'm not worried about people fooling us as to who they are; I'm annoyed at the length of time it takes to switch accounts. Rather inconvenient when you have three or four posts to make, each under a different name.

Something like Diana outlined above would make me haaaaappy.

I recently created and released the Quick Switch Account (see sig), for the same problem of having multiple accounts on an RPG board. On two of such boards I have some 4 odd characters running around. This solved it for me, and it's already found other uses (admins testing several permissions levels, etc.)

I might use this myself, but it's not something that I'd be willing to release to the public. For one, it will require far too much work for the admins, and second, too much risk of a number being misplaced, and someone getting full access to someone else's account.

Definitely a start in the right direction, though. :)

I'm on this and also past beta stage on multiple user avatars.

I'll post something in beta forums so that the more experienced coders can help me :)

Miracle LA! Someone is actually working on it a yeeaaar later! I love you! Sadly I can no longer afford to give a gift! x_x sigh!

I like the quick account switch mod... but unfortunetly you still have the problem of users creating multiple accounts to fool members in to think they're different people. You also don't get a very accurate member count... aanndd if you have special RPG mods installed where users earn points/ect for posts they tend to abuse those multiple accounts and makes the games unfair for the users that don't role play... very pesky!
