Is anyone else around here an upgrade junkie?

For some reason I always have to be running the most current version of anything. I can't stand to use older software and think about what bugs may be there, whether I've experienced them or not.

This obsession extends to websites, web browsers, operating systems, Microsoft Office (expensive! :o ) and many many other things.

Please tell me I'm not alone!

Hmm, not really.

i'm a status quo junkie.
Just if i really need a feature of the new version or because of security questions i upgrade.

just my Programming tools (apache/php/mysql) have to be up to date for obvious reasons :)

I'm upgrading to vb3 this week... it's taken me five months to port all the hacks over.

(but I was very obsessive and insisted on writing all the hacks myself ;))

This also my behavior with upgrades included the security upgrades ofcourse. It is so nice to see many hacks installed in vb3 already so if you keep the hacks ratio low upgrading will not be timeconsuming.

It would be great if later versions of vb will upgrade as the avast virusscanner. "There is a new bugfix available, do you want to upgrade?" and when you click a button this is installed. :D

Nuclion... that wouldn't be a bad feature actually! lol, why hasn't Jelsoft thought of this yet :D

but I doubt it could incoporated seeing as how boards are hacked to hell all the time, and using it would be more of a problem than a help

I don't upgrade until a final, good release is out and I've heard everybody's opinions. I also don't upgrade if I've done a LOT of modifications and/or added new things to the software im using.... I just hate doing the same things over and over again >.<
