No idea what the changes between IB 1.2 and 1.3 are database wise, but there is a 1.1/1.2 converter in the vB.com members area. I'd expect a 1.3 importer to come with vB3 final too.

yeah, you would think so, but the VB dev's have stated they have no intention of making an import sciprt.
and I dont want one that does VB2... I want it for a fresh install of VB3.

Actually dont think that Jerry (i think) said somthing about updating it if theres a demand :)
and right now that is the only offical way to import :P

I'm sure there will be an import script after vB3 has gone final. I think it would be quite a bad idea for them not to create a import script for probably the most popular free board.

That would probaly be true...
But Man, I hate ipb 1.3... I switched from ipb to vB and it is heaven :)
btw, dont get mad @ me... Im @ school :)

I really really need a import script from IPB 1.2 o VB3 quickly, is there any script like that out there?
There isn't any reason you couldn't just switch over to vB2 and then upgrade as Faranth said. It's the only way if you're really wanting to save your users, threads, and posts--at least, short of making your own script.

there will be no stright conversion scripts to vB3 untill it goes gold and theres no reason to make one untill it goes gold

In the members area, it only speaks of every board even ...ezboard... but I don't see Invision Board mentioned anywhere.
I can't even download the one Pogo made. I have to email him?
I have IPB 1.3. And Pogo says his script will work for that too... but it doesn't show in the members importer area.

He says right there... that it is at that link.
But:
We currently offer a set of scripts that will allow you to import posts, threads and users from the following programs: Infopop Ultimate Bulletin Board 5, Infopop Ultimate Bulletin Board 6.0, 6.1 and 6.2, Infopop UBBThreads 5.4 (formerly wwwthreads), vBulletin Lite, Infopop OpenTopic/UBB.x, Ikonboard 2, Ikonboard 3, phpBB2, DC Forum, XMB, and ezboard (posts only, not members for ezboard).

I am having a hard time finding an importer... I am getting a bit discouraged. Maybe I should get my money back and get the board from Gossamer Threads? :)

would be possible to convert a 1.3 invision board just using the 1.2 import script? or has anyone tried testing that out yet? XD I'm not sure how much the tables changed from 1.2 to 1.3... Cause I'm having that problem too.. I'm finally ready to convert my board but there's not an updated importer yet!

LOL space-kitten.org
My friend used to have space-kitty.com and I put my site there. Then she gave it to one of her friends... domain names are like candy to some of us.
:speechless:
i downloaded the script.
there is one called "bbimport_invib.php".
I see a few line at the beginning of this file
<?php
// Invision Power Board v1.1.x - v1.3
but i m not sure whether it works for IB v1.3 or not!
Anyone tried it?
