View Full Version : vB 3 beginer. Got questions
Hello there. I'm new in vB3 and there are some things that...i'm still confused.
1. I want some OLD template so i could modify that. This new GAMMA skin is...confusing.
2. Where can i modify so a user wown't get the "Message to short, you need atleast 10 characters". I want to put 3 minimum.
Thanx.
3. How can i activate the QUICK REPLY ?
4. I want Currently Active Users on a Category and on a Topic to. How can i do that ?
P.S. Sorry for all my question, but vB3 looks pretty..."full".

True mate, True :p Either that or the admin's could think of a way to actually make people go to www.vbulletintemplates.com (http://www.vbulletintemplates.com) ;) Otherwise everyone just posts in the HTML / PHP part, i know, i done it myself :)
ehhe....atleast tell a moderator/administrator to make some annoucement or a...more visibile FAQ.
Anyway...i got questions :
What is REPUTATION SYSTEM ? And how REPUTATION works ?
About User notes...where can i add notes to a user ? And...where can i see them ?
P.S. Sorry for all the questions, but Faranth FAQ is not yet to conplete, and if you want to not see such questions...do some bigger FAQ and put it high somewere. And yes yes...i know how it is to see the Newbies :)

Sorry mate i was not aiming it at you. The point is, the whole idea of when RC2 came out, that here on vb.org they would stop supporting template questions, as people were comming here instead of vbulletintemplates.com its kind of like vbulletintemplates.com letting people release hacks there. Do you see what i mean ;)
If we are going to continue supporting template questions here then we might aswell bring back the old forums that were chucked into the archives :)
As for your questions lol, i cannot help you there as i use neither of them.
And its cool to be a newbie ;) Less hassle for you

there IS inline Admin help thats what the lil circle ? button is :)
but a reputation system is kinda like.. well what it sounds like :)
Usernotes must be enabled per usergroup. and you can leave / read usernotes in a users profile :) IF you have the correct access and they do as well. ill add some more to the FAQ tonight :)

So vb.org is for hacks...vbtemplate is for templates ? Now i get it :)

Thats right mate :) And vbulletin.com is for questions on using vB even though i guess you can ask here aswell, matter of choice. Basically vbulletintemplates.com was getting ignored as people were asking here about them kind of questions, so now vB.org are trying to make people go there instead.
