Hi, I'm hoping that someone here might be able to help me out, I'm looking to make the move from virtual hosting to getting my own dedcated server. I've been looking around and found a company called one and one (http://oneandone.co.uk/) who look like they might be able to help me... but i'm worried about taking the plunge.

Does anyone here host with one and one? if so what account do you have (I'd be keen on talking with root servers owners as that's what I was looking to get).

Does anyone here use plesk? How well does it handle things like multipul domains, and reselling?

Thanx all :)

I read a fair bit of bad stuff about them over at the hosting forum at vB.com, but I don't have any first hand experience.

I origionally had Plesk on my dedicated server but found it very basic and not very user friendly. That said most of the server control panel software seems to lack in my opinion.

Thanx for the input, I might go take a look and see what's being said.

As for control panels, I've so far found that Hsphere is the best, but then I guess that no CP can compare to root commands (if you know what you are doing :))

I've used their free service (promotion at 1and1.com) and it was a pleasure to use. SSH, FTP, intelligent tech support. The only thing that I didn't like was that they only gave 5GB of bandwidth.
