Nevermind after reading the question. I think that it is alil overboard for presales. If you feel like answering go ahead but I wont be mad if ya'll dont.

I am trying to walk the line of pre-sales question and support. So if this question is over the line please let me know. But on skinning, I think I have sort of figured out the sytem without ruining my friends forum. But in order to skin do you have to apply your template to each of the many templates. ie. I figured out how to change the home forum, but when you click usercp. the middle section of the template is gone. header and footer are there.

This is my final question promise. I have to make a suggestion to the marketing folks at my job and they are going to want it skinned like immediately. SO I just want to know what I am getting into as well as be able to tell them realistically when I can have it skinned. BTW thank you Steve on my other questions.

vB has three important keywords in this context: style sets, templates, and replacements. A style set a collection of templates and replacements. Templates contain the HTML code used to generate the page. Replacements contain small snippets such as colors. To modify a style set's colors, all you need to do is modify the replacements. To modify the actutal layout of a page, you need to modify the templates.
