4images can work with vb3 but it isn't completely vb controlled which .. I prefer.. but it's everyone I want.

So far, all our products and services are free for everyone (who owns a vB license).

And as for our bigger products, all of them will either be 100% free or come in 2 versions, one free and one paid (Deluxe, which will simply have even far more features than the free version, for each product).

The free version of the EvB Gallery will still be very awesome and powerful, I can assure you. :)

No ETA yet, sadly... We want it out as soon as possible, but we don't want to release an alpha or beta product - only a well-tested, stable product. That, and the two versions (one free, one paid) takes up some extra time as well.

This is the best free Gallery I have found and I used it integrated with Postnuke and it was awesome. Now I wish someone could integrate it directly to VB or VBadvanced.

I can give a bit of a hint of its features though:

- extreme flexibility (it can be used for very different purposes, not just a mere gallery, but for many different things that involve collections of images);
- it will be written conform to several new standards that were made by vB, EvB and myself;
- highly optimized to make the most efficient use of caching techniques and the like;
- fully integrated with vB3 to make optimal use of Usergroup permissions / user permissions, on a per-category / per-subcategory basis;
- 'script-free': you're not stuck to having gallery.php (for instance) to be your only gallery location.


More details are gonna remain a 'secret' for now :p

'm using Photopost for my gallery intergration right now. Although its been updated there not big ones and can barely see a different with each upgrade so I'm looking for a change. The more intergration with vb the better.

I've a question: Will it have user comments? And if so, will it have them displayed with the same postbit that the forums use? I have been looking for one like that forever and a half. I can't get Coppermine or 4images to work, and I don't want to spend that much on Photopost: I'll wait, lol. Can't wait!

You can enable user comments on a per-category basis, and yes they will use the postbit templates.

If I could get VB to wrap around it, everything would be right with the world. I'm sure other VB'ers would also like to use this great program which is also FREE. I'm totally surprised that others aren't chiming in for a way to do it because it's the default choice for most postnuke sites. Now that I moved to VBAdvanced it's the one thing I miss the most. It's times like this I wish I could understand the programming. It's all greek to me! :)

i have too much time invested in 4IMAGES Gallery right now, anyone get VB3 and 4IMAGES to work together? It works with VB2 but no VB3 integration as of yet.
