I would be interested in what you have found as well
as long as it isn't the one from atmyparty.com or whatever it was.... that one was incomplete and a waste of money since he never completed it as promised and it was not as advertised in the first place

The zip file that Etcher posted is for vbportal and won't work with out using there system. Just an FYI to everyone.
P.S It only works with vB 2.x.x and vbportal combo

It's not bad, but kind of a pain.

Yeah Photopost Classifieds works with vb3 database. Would be much nicer if someone would write a hack that would make a post in a designated vb3 forum whenever someone posted a classified.

Why not just include the listing of Classified categories on your forum index page like you can do with PhotoPost or ReviewPost?

You mean just a simple redirect or something more elaborate.

has anyone found a stable classified ad script that will work with vBulletin (without VBPortal)?

I'll be using 4images gallery as my classified ad system like photopost. For the lightbox, I simply changed it to wishlist and the word 'image' was changed to 'item' thoughout the script. This can also be used as a multi-vendor sytem or an online mall. "category" was renamed "storefront."
To allow only the store owner to upload in their storefront, a usergroup has to be created for each so called store. subcategory was changed into departments. So each vendor will have a storefront and departments.
I also found this hack that allows icons next to each category or storefront. Perfect for a company logo or picture.
Now all I need is to add extra tables for price and shipping. My native country doesn't have paypal, so a shopping cart is not needed. Buyers simply contact sellers the old fashioned way, either thru phone or email just like your newspaper ads.
If you want a shopping cart, there's a hack for that for 4images as well. It's in German. But I'm sure an english translation will be out soon.
And btw, it's integrated with Vb3.

Hi there! Thanks for the post. I took a look at your site www.stberlin.com and it is very nicely done!
BTW, I'm from the Philippines too! I didn't know they didn't have paypal.
Please drop me a note when you have the classifieds system up and running, I'd like to see what it looks like.
Take care!

The vbtrader WILL be finished sometime in the very near future. Better later than never.

I didn't see anything about style integration, plus
vBulletin and Esvon Classifieds must be installed into the same database (with different table prefixes for example).
Registration link from vBulletin should point to classifieds registration page so when user registers in classifieds new account will be created in vBulletin for him automatically. Original vBulletin registration is not allowed.
For shared login to work Esvon Classifieds and vBulletin must be installed at the same domain. After classifieds login user will be logged in vBulletin automatically.
If this is not fresh install of vBulletin and vBulletin has registered users, we can handle users importing work for you, contact us for a quote.
