I want to limit smilies in the shoutbox

I have the shoutbox hack by TWCommish ( https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?p=260264 ) anyways is there a way to limit the number of smilies posted? I had one guy post over 500 smilies in the shoutbox which is ridiculous. TWCommish in the thread says he doesnt know how... does anyone else know? :confused:

Just add a character limit to the textarea. It can be done via the templates with javascript :) (Look at www.dynamicdrive.com) they definately have it there as i've used it before :)
