Maybe a dumb question

Well i have only recently started a VB board, and have hacked it a fair bit (Shoutbox, Rpg intergration, vbpro arcade), there appear to be two problems so far (not with the hacks as they run perfectly) but i have turned on custom avatars and images, but when one of my users tries to upload any avvy, they get an error message saying :

The uploaded file is not a valid GIF or JPG file. Please ensure that it is and try again.

I have tried it with mine, which i know works on other VB forums and have adjusted the avatar size to make sure it fufills the criteria i have set, but the same happens as well.

Also i have added some [img] tags, which work fine, but the board main page still shows that the [img] code is off, even though i am certain i turned it on

Any ideas what could be happenng as i am lost on this

I used to have issues with the valid extentions as well. Try to upload jpegs if you're trying gifs. Also wondering what version of vb you are currently running?

As for the img tags make sure that you have enabled them in signatures and also I believe that each forum has the settings for image tags as well. Hope that helps.

I am runing 2.3.3

EDIT - just tried a jpeg format image and no joy, as I got the same error message.

Any further ideas ??
