version 1

This modification allows you to preload your style images... great for graphic heavy styles!

A working example can be found here. (http://www.communityforums.net)

Attatched is the zip file, which includes the .js file for loading the bar.

Enjoy!

I may use this :) Thanks! Will this work on all browsers?

It may... I've tested this on Internet Explorer 6.0 only, but I don't see a problem with other browsers with the members on my forum.

Update: Yes, this script works on all browsers

Nice. Great for 56k users, but no difference for broadband peeps.

Edit: Works fine in Mozilla/Firebird

Yes, communityforums is very graphically intense (just look at the postbit and you'll see what I mean... lol), so I wanted a way for my users to preload the page until I finish my 56k style...

Thanks for the positive feedback guys!

oh, and thanks assasin for your forum image script... I loved it (as you can see because we have no forums aligned without columns on the homepage :p)

The forumhome looks excellent like that. Good work.

And I got no errors in Opera either:)

Works with anything... I just used it for communityforums

I just took the free script, spruced up the index page, and made it available to vbulletin users quicker

Unique mod - but I had to wait quite a while even on 56k - i'm surprised it took this long as i've been to sites with more graphics data to load which loads quicker :)

The logo is drawn from hand and the 'Launch Delayed until further notice' font is Century Gothic :)
