What is the Best version of Vbulletin in your opinion?
Im using this to figure out what version I will end up using... I have heard 2.2.8 is good but I want feedback

Only 2.3.2 can be downloaded from the members area (From the 2.x line) and using anything lower than this on a fresh install is pretty pointless. Why use an old version with bugs and security holes when the latest version is avalible.

I have all versions on my comuter starting @ 2.2.6 but... Dont some versions work better with certain mods... like Store hack for example?

Anything below 2.2.9 has security loopholes and can be hacked.

True, however anything bellow 2.2.9 IIRC has security flaws so you really shouldn't even consider using them. IMO it shouldn't be that hard getting anything that worked on 2.2.6 to work on 2.3.2.

:p no vB3? Well, for me, the latest version obviously because of security and features. 2.3.x has a better registration system as well. Most of the hacks I've tried have worked on my 2.3.0 board

I agree. vB 3.0.0 Beta 7 is by far the best version of vBulletin out there, imo :)

also 2.3.2 is best of the vb2 series, as it's the securest

I didn't add VB 3 beta because it isn't a full release... as in its not really considered a full version since it is still in beta =/

Yeah, but vB3 B7 is pretty stable, much more than vB2 when it was in BETA

well but you cannot compare the vb2 releases as each newer version is better because of the bug and security fixes...

It's a full version, in functionality that is. It's just not a "stable" version. ;)
My vote goes for the latest vB3 as well. When I think back to vB2, it gives me nightmares. Ahh! Un-XHTML complaint code! :ninja:
