i think it has to do with the # of posts that would be lost if they did that

well, vbulletintemplates.com is a sister site of vbulletin.com and uses the license system, so IMO it should be linked some where officaly

I wouldn't mind seeing vborg being used for source code changes and vbt being used for template modifications.

The currently made threads don't have to be 'moved', the template forum can be set to 'not accept new posts'.

well personally i agree that template changes from vb.org AND vb.com should be limited to vbt.

But with vb3 it'll be a bit harder to decide.
Templates can execut php with their conditions, so the borders are floating...

i thought templates could only "sorta" do php now, i know that ifstatments are possible but i thought that was its extent, besides the phpinclude

you can change the content of variables within the conditions, and this way change more then just little things..

right, however vbulletintemplates, allows NO FILE MODS, as stated in the rules. so i guess thats a place to start for defination of a hack? vs template mod?

hmm i don't know...

maybe we should start a poll and ask what the members think (at least those who care ;))

you can bring up more points, we'll read the suggestions and reasons, and then maybe change our current system.

just for the record, i've been kinda saying this for ages, vb.com should quit the templating and leave it to the vBT pro's

also that vBT should get vBulletin.net :)

I hope people don't do that, that really does destroy the purpose of template conditionals.

Yeah but it can be usefull sometimes N9ne.

I could make one of my hacks a lot easier with that method :)

@saber: hmm, maybe you have to convince the high ones (i think James or John in that case ;))
