Hi

I've been away from the computer (ill) for about 5 days, and haven't touched the computer once. Now I come back, and when I searched for new posts I only saw a few threads from about 20 minutes ago.

Ive misssed 5 days of posts/threads and cant search for them

Really annoyin' :(

(Might be a cookie problem?)

If it's a cookie problem, it's you PC.

It works perfect for me, last time i was away more than 2 days, and i got all these two days on New Posts.

but nevertheless if it's vb, you should report it at vbulletin.com, as then it would be a bug i the beta.

It's strange. This was the only vB3 site that I had the problem with.

So I can't really tell if its a cookie or vB3 problem:(

well we haven'T hacked the login, nor the newpost, nor init.php or global.php so it's not vb.org.

And as it doesn't happen to anyone else yet, i think it may be your pc. you pc corrupting cookies might also be a possibility of the other "bug" you reported last time.

edit: oops, forget the last sentence, i was talking about another one ^^

I'll see if it is my computer. Thanks

Often happens for me on many vB boards, I'll vist, it says there are X new posts/threads I click get new and there are none. This normally happens at Uni where the IP changes with every request although I've had a user report the problem on my board too.

What your IP changes? If so, can't be on my side since I have a static IP

It happens with static IP too, just not very often. Its a problem with both vB2 and vB3.

Never encountered it with vB2

Because we recently upgraded from vB2 to vB3, you really need to manually delete your cookies as they are bound to get corrupted. It happens to me as well, but this problem gets fix once I reset the cookie.
