i really want to take the plunge and buy a licence from vb but 2 things r holding me back

1 is it true vb 3 has been in beta stages for almost a year now and has no set date for an RC?

2 i have seen similar posts but none that answer can u convert a IPB v1.1.2
to vb as i dont want to lose anything

1. Yes, vB3 is currently in public beta 7 and is nearing release candidate. No release dates are ever mentioned except for a few days before the release.
2. I don't know, but expect a reply from somebody who does.

U can convert IPB to VB, i've done it b4.......the only down side is that the attachments wouldnt be converted (at least that's what happend to me)

There's a convertor right now that does the convertion, but when i did it....i had to convert to PHPBB first and after that convert PHPBB to VB. Everything went pretty well......and again, except for the attachments =/
