Hi:

I have an university who would like to allow all their students about 1200 ( will expand to 6000 ) at the moment to use the bulletin but needs some customisation

1) First, the database of the student id and password will be integrated to the board so that all need not register again , one by one

2) add a personal journal module facilities for each students that allows them to write their thoughts, like online journal, can be open ( public can see ) or closed journal , up to the user

3) integrate to the look and feel of the eventual site

4) maybe more control will be needed.. with the new features

what is the production time needed and estimated cost.. just roughly?

1) very easy to do, if it's a mysql db, if you're good in coding, it wouldn't take more than 10 mins normally

2) iirc there is a journal hack around, you have to download and install it after you purchased vb

3) with vb's template system that's easy to do, but of course it depends on the site how long it'll take

4) erm, no idea what you need here ;)

4) He may mean more features for moderators. If that's the case, there are plenty of hacks around that give moderators extra abilities

I am ready to purchase the software but am not well verse with the integration.. am willing to pay a fee for anyone
who can handle this portion for me..

Let me know if any of your are interested and give me a rough quote.. so that when I get the project, I can contact you.. thanks a lot

Please post in the service requests forums when you have a service requests; otherwise people reply simply to advertise that they're available for hire.

You'd have to buy vBulletin first, but I'm sure people would be willing to fulfill your request. I'd imagine due to the complexity and required stability that it would take a few weeks and upwards of $100 (normal for tasks of such a size).

I understand.. I need to post here and find out the estimated cost before proceeding to make a purchase as I am still in the proposal stage of my project..

I need to know how much it cost to customise to my requirement

Would love to post to service request but I have not purchase a licensed copy yet at this moment as I have no need for them at this stage of the proposal..

I understand that that portion is for licensed user to post only ??

The quoted prices will vary wildly. I am guessing it would go from $100 to $500 and take around one month.
