View Full Version : i'm thinking of buying vbulletin and want a bit of advice
i run a w2k server and want to know if it's hard to setup a forum? and is there a easy guide to doing it?
any help would be great and, or feedback please

hmm, the manual on vbulletin.com should really be enough.
setting up a vbulletin is really easy.
forum software is new to me and i don't have a clue
i need mysql aswell on the server it's going to be on?

yes for now just mysql is supported by vBulletin.
your server needs php4 and mysql 3.23 i think to run vbulletin.
if you have mysql , and php, it's just a question of a few minutes to install a vBulletin

You can also post a service request here to have it installed for you, or use Jelsoft's official (but rather pricey) service at http://www.vbulletin.com/order/ .

Uh... you can just download them from most public servers, by searching on Google. Putting up your FTP details is asking for hackers.
