I want to switch my VB site to a new server to speed it up. Is there any easy way to do this?

you will need to have ssh access. if not backup ur database and forums folder after uploading to the new host with your db and forum folder ask your provider to load back your database for u

Actualy your new provider can move your entire site in minutes with click of one button.

If they value you as a customer I am sure they would not mind moving your site.

It'll still be using SSH. :) Some server control panels do have mirroring software that can do that, but that is software dependent.
