Can I import a phpBB user DB into VB?

Is it possible to import a database of users from a phpBB board and add them in bulk to a VB forum? So users don't have to register? Is that possible? If so how do you export a phpBB db and into what format? And then how do you import that into VB without over writing your existing users?

You're best checking in the members center at vbulletin.com to see what importers they currently have available :)
