Hi Guys,

I saw this: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=43098&highlight=Moderator

And was wondering if there is a Hack that will completly hide or remove the Moderator Field from view. I would rather people just didn't see the field at all when on the main Forum Display.

Obviously it might still show Moderators at the top of page when in the section, but I am more worried about the OVERALL look of the forum.

Thanks

Virus

PS - If this is not possible, maybe it is possible to allow a Group to be made a Mod, thatway I only have one Mod listed instead of like 10.

Forum Home Page Templates

Edit the forumhome_forumbit_levelx_[no]posts templates. Remove the $forum[moderators] part. (Of course if it's in a row or column remove that as well.)

There's a template modification available at vbulletintemplates.com which will achieve this effect :)

Thanks. Do you know what the template mod is called? So I could search for it.

I am gonna try what that guy said first though - lol

Doesn't this come pre-done in vB3 also ?

There is indeed a switch in the ACP of vB3 that defaults to off for the moderator column.

Hey guys,

Thanks for all your feedback - much appreciated.

Just thought I would let you know I made the changes and it all seems to have gone dandy.

Only 1 thing though.

Just in case ne1 else uses this post in future.

There are two types of files in the Forum Home Templates section

forumhome_forumbit_levelx_posts
&
forumhome_forumbit_levelx_noposts

The one I had to edit was: noposts and this was the line I removed:

<td bgcolor="{tableheadbgcolor}" width="20%"align="<smallfont

color="{tableheadtextcolor}"><smallfont><b>Moderator</b></smallfont></td>
</tr>

Worked like a dream.

Anyone who uses this - GOOD LUCK (Always copy to notepad before changing - just in case)
