View Full Version : Don't Bump Thread on New Reply

What does this hack do?

It stops threads from getting "bumped" when there is a new reply. Bumping a thread means to bring it back to the top of the threads list when there is a new reply; you might want to stop this from happening because you want the order of the threads in the forum to be in the order of which ones were posted first, instead of which ones have the latest replies. In this case, you can install this hack to make it work like that.

You should try to make it so users cannot bump there own thread ;)

LIke for example if I make a post and a few hours later noone has replied I cannot bump it unless it is replying after some one other then I have posted.

Nice hack, good work. :) Useful for announcement forums etc and also when you don't want to plaster your forum with stickies. :)

I know, but couldn't find any "official" release in Release forum.

I would like to have this option in vB3!

You'll have to wait for vB3 hacks to be allowed before I begin releasing my vB3 hacks :)

Now vB3 hacking is supported... can we get this converted? :P
