Hi,

Just moving this over here which seems a better place for it instead of the discussion while I was writing it.

If you want to see it working, I have made a guest account guest/guest for use.

http://www.spunkyspode.com

Thats not where the vB will be, It's just a development area before it gets properly deployed. But feel free to see it in action for a limited time before I hand it over to the customer and delete it!

If anyone uses this mod, can they please e-mail me! Purely becuase I woud like to know if people are using it!

I did orginally include the calendar.php file in the mod, but then I read in the rules this isn't allowed. :(

Although I can gaurantee this mod works for me, at the moment I don't think anyone else has tested it. So if you have tested it, let the rest of the community know.

Erm. there aren't any?

You have automatic rights to post to your group calender.

Do you think I should add in a permission to stop certain users from doing this?

Or in fact, usergroups?

Usergroup permissions was what I was thinking yes so you can set whether the usergroup can have their own usergroup calendar :)

Well, the reason I wrote this mod, was for a customer. I don't think he needs that functionality.

By all means, add that function! It wouldn't be hard.

Or if you really think that functionality should be added. I'll add it myself. GO ON! Press me.

* Mist presses the spode button ;)

I have no use for this personally but I think it could turn the calendar into something useful for a lot of people...

Right.

I have added in functionality so that you can modify a usergroup and turn on/off their permissions to post group events.

I also fixed a few bugs and security issues. I beg that someone would install this and double check for the security bugs. My head is fried from trying all different combinations with 4 user names on the same machine :S

Btw,

I really don't think I've written it up particuarly well. If anyone particularly wants to make my write up look better. And do things like group the SQL inserts together and put all mods to calender.php in order and together. Then feel free to do so!!!

It's for VB2 atm.

In a lot of ways, I should really buy a license for one of my own sites so I can carry on developing these mods. PHPbb just doesn't cut the mustard. I only developed these for someone elses site....
