I don't know if there has already been made.

A few people on our board spend a lot of their own time making walkthroughs for DVD ripping, Making Multi-CD games that fit on DVDr and so on.

then they attach the txt file to their post, but when i go and look at the post it's got something like the ratio of 20 downloads to 2 replies.

what i need is to give these peeps some credit for their hard work.

so is their a hack that will make someone reply before they can download the file ??

or when they click the Attachment. it wont download unless they say thanks.

I know there are hacks out there that you may have to have so many points to download a file.
i didn't want to go down that road if possible. i'm not bothered if the member has made 15000 posts or 1 post or has been a member for 2 years or two days. i just need em to say thanx. and i've tried the tatic of telling peeps to say thanx for download but i think it falls on deaf ears sometimes...

Thanx for any help on this...

Sorry but I'm confused. Are you admitting that your forums engage in Intellectual Property violations?

No, i know what a lock down hack is.
i'm not asking for that as i can get plenty of those.

As for illegal that is an argument that can go on for decades.
if you have lets say 6 games may it be PC, Xbox or what ever and they are very small in size Megs wise.
don't you agree fitting 3 or more games on a CD/DVDr with a menu saves a lot of discs changing ??

But i'm not asking for a debate on the morals of making menus or
dvd ripping.

Cos if that was the case no doubt 95% of the members of this board will join in on the FOR's against maybe 3% of peeps who don't and the other 2% oh say they don't but do.

But seems as a simple request is going to turn into one of those sunday morning Moral boosting debates, i'll give it a miss....

More like violations of the all-godly DMCA, but either way, this really is a lockdown hack (requiring a reply before accessing information), so thread closed. If people are not doing what you want, then disipline them by a banning. It's your board. :)
