template showing incorrectly

running 2.3.0 and enchanced with many hacks and optmizations

I've recently changed something that causes two of my hacks look like this

i am wondering if i have changed any defaults that would affect it being able to be displayed properly

Try turning off the option in the admin CP to add comments around templates.
