No PM until (x) posts?

is there a hack, or a method without a hack already, to disable the use of Private Messages until the user has hit say, 10 posts on the forum? our forum is plagued by users with 0 posts spamming other members, and we have a moderation queue to make sure unwanted posts are kept out, hence these people wont meet 10 posts.

wicked cheers for that. i did a search on "private message" thinking that any post with "pm" (under search string length i guessed) would also have "private message" mentioned somewhere. i was wrong :D
