Hmm, I'm liking it so far. Especially the header, that looks great. I look forwad to seeing the finished category & forumbits, stuff like that. Hopefully you'll release some of those vB3 hacks here when 3.0.2 comes out. :)

I like it, but the blue area in the header (the "Web Design Forums.net" part) is a little too monotonous. At the very least I think you should do a gradient or cloud effect in the background for a little variation.

Header is nice, but I'm not a big fan of the table design. Sorry.

IMHO its a standard design, nothing special.

How can you say that ^^

Of course it looks easy. You look at the techniques and think hey i can do this in 20minutes in photoshop. But it's the ideas that go behind it.

This layout is simple to navigate and has flawless readably.

This is more than i can say about the pixel-font revolution that forever continues... :)

Yes, Mist, thats what i think, you got me there.

Actually, Unfortunattly Jesloft havent come out with a feelings button so you cant really see i was being sarcastic.

Its not much different from the last design and im not a fan of that neither! Mist, I have been doing Flash for 6 years! I've been doing PS only a few if that.

In future please dont tell me what i think!

He can say that because:

a. By posting in this forum, filburt is asking for opinions on the design.
b. what pie posted is his opinion.
c. he has fingers, a computer, and internet access so he is able to post that.

Opinions, Opinions, Opinions.

The real intent of the new style set is to (1) avoid the major PITA to port WDF's current style set to vB3, (2) to make it completely XHTML and CSS compliant, and most importantly and most overlooked (3) 100% accessible. The tabs you see can be scaled to the maximum font size in both IE and Mozilla, there will be very little text in images (I may even replace the navbar images with text), and the contrast makes it very easy to read.

That's some pretty complicated stuff. How many people do you estimate that visit your forums (which I love, BTW) that cannot "access" it?

Probably none are blind or anything of the sort. However, being a web design forum, it would be ironic not to support such standards.
