Ok, let me tell you my story. A guy gave me a board for free, but he used his license and some sort of software to give out boards and he gave me one and therefore it is unlicensed. I called my host of my website and everything is worked out and she got the board installed and it has a license.

I just want to make sure it has a license, so can someone please check out my board and tell me if I have one????? PLease

If a person gave you the board without the license information, then you are running a pirated board. If you do not have a user ID number and password, then you are running a pirated board. You need to pay Jelsoft to get a license.

Michael,

You are currently showing up as unlicensed. To be able to download hacks and/or receive support here at vBulletin.org, we ask you to please click here (http://www.vbulletin.com/members/forums.php) (vB-germany users click here (http://www.vbulletin-germany.com/members/forums.php)) and enter your email address, to show us that you are licensed.

Since you have bought a license, you will have this information in an email sent to you.

You will need to use your customer number and password (which will be in the email you got when you paid for your license) to access that page. Please note that your email is case sensitive.

Thank you.

As Erwin said if you bought a license then you have the customer number and password for the Members Area. And if you have that, you can add your email to the list to show you are licensed, and your forum URL so that it ashopws up as licensed.

I am looking up on it. I know we have a license - I will just have to wait till she is online and I will have her register here.

Remember, if this other person has a license, and is using a forum herself, you cannot share her license. Each forum must have ONE LICENSE EACH.

Ok, I was talking to my host and this is the situation:

"we had the old board back on as a mistake during a restore, and the new board will be up and you will edit your vb.org info with your license number, email and password."

The old board or new board has nothing to do with your license status - your license number and password should be given to you when you purchase a license. You should be able to enter that information straight away.

Ok, do we have a license now? Can you check please?

You're showing up as licensed now if that's what you mean.
