I recall hearing this somewhere.. can't remember where though, but it would be nice to know before I get into some serious template hacking.
Will the RC version of vBulletin 3 support the <if condition=""> tag? Or will they shift it so all PHP code must be in files, as is with vBulletin 2.

vB3 Beta already supports conditionals in templates.

i think it will because one of the most anticipated features of the new template system is the ability to have php conditionals in templates...
a feature that i look forward to use :)

Indeed the conditionals will be staying as this is one of the major new features and one which significantly reduces the number of templates required.

Ya I love the feature and I am thinking of making it for vB2 as a hack.

Logician already has a few of his hacks feature his version of php including in templates... probably his most popular webtemplates

Yea im sure it will stay in, really helps alot, you dont have to re-hack your files over and over just to do something simple in one template.

Conditional templates are here to stay in vB3. It has already replaced many of the hacks that I had in vB2.
