Greetings,
Every so often, at random, I get a string of server info on the top of my page (see image). I'm pretty sure it's from a hack, but I've got several, and I don't know when exactly it started. I'll do the footwork and try and solve this, but I need some help in where to start. What would cause that to be displayed there?
Thanks!
Take care,
~Chris

I also have this problem, when viewing (only my forums it seems) from Uni via the proxy server there. Quite often only 99% of the page loads and I'll get the last 1% along with the headers as shown in your screenshot with the next request.
I'm using vB3 Beta 4 and have only got this problem with vewing pages via the proxy.

Okay, I'm too computer-ignorant to decipher what you said. If you were just sharing, then I feel even dumber. lol.
I am a reasonably intelligent person, but this whole computer-code world is very Greek to me. Anything I've learned has been self taught. I've bought a few books, but I feel like I need an instruction manual just to understand the books I've already bought. I've spent hundreds of hours tweaking my site just the way I like it, but I know that if I had known what I was doing, it wouldn't have taken but a fraction of that time, and it would have many more features. I am learning, though. :)
Now then, back to my problem. I must admit I have an ulterior motive to inquiring about the problem I'm having. Many of my website members encounter a problem in which they randomly get a white page, instead of the page they were supposed to get. Hitting refresh in their browser seems to correct this, but it often returns just a few keystrokes later.
I have never been able to duplicate the problem, making it very difficult to correct. I have inquired at the vB site, and tried several suggestions, but none have worked. The specifics that I've been able to come up with are as follows:
It only occurs on PC's using IE. PC's using Netscape, Mozilla, or AOL don't run into this problem. I use a Mac, and have tried browsing with IE, Netscape, Safari, and Camino, and have never had the problem. I do, however, get the problem I showed in the screenshot in my first post. The reason I believe this is significant is that after several attempts at getting help from PC users that have this problem, I discovered that the "white page" they get always has that same string of information at the top, and is then followed by some kind of scribble that looks like it might have originated in another galaxy, far, far away.
I have deduced that the problem that is causing this is likely the same one that is causing me to get the problem in the screenshot, and therefore must be something specific to my site. If that is the case, then there must be something I can do to correct it.
Now, I make a living as a mechanic, and maybe my "fix-it" logic doesn't apply to the computer world, but I am very stubborn, and want to solve this. If anyone has any suggestions, or knows why that info would randomly appear on my screen, I would really appreciate hearing from you. If I wasn't specific enough, or if you have any questions at all, please ask!
:)
Thank you very much.
Take care,
~Chris
