Useful for telling guests to register etc while still allowing them to view the boards and see why they should. this just displays a message to a guest that says 'Guest, please register!' with a link to the register page if the user isn't logged in or hasn't registered.
Enjoy ^_^

Nice hack :)

You think i can put this in other templates otherthen forumhome?
This would be nice for allowing people to see what forums you have, but not letting them see the thread. That can be the message the see insted of just there have been no posts.

Edit: Great hack!! It CAN be put in any template.

If I went to show forums and saw a huge message like that, I'd not sign up, close the browser, and hever return.

Same goes for people that use that gay box that follows you for 10 seconds or whatever.

I don't like getting pestured by people.

Ok then, you can change the font size in the template. You can change anything about it. Thats just the default table i put in. Easy to change :)

Thanks....but i don't really care what they say. It is an extremely simple hack, might as well be a template mod if not for that tiny global.php edit :p

No it's just my opinion. I don't really jump at the option to sign up for a message board that is begging me to signup.

I'm just giving mb admins another prospective...

I'm not trying to knock the hacker, I'm just giving my opinion.

Good job, but isn't it easier to make use of the forumhome_unregmessage template or am I just missing the point?

Thats true. That template could also be used. This is just another one you can put anywhere.
