View Full Version : Free webpage add on?
I recently purchased some free webpage/email service software, hoping to integrate it with vbulletin, but I HATE the free webpage script! I guess I am spoiled with vbulletin and php- I just can't stand some of this perl stuff anymore.
Is there a hack out there to offer a free webpage with vbulletin? Has anyone done one that would allow members to create a webpage user the vbulletin members database?
Just curious- wasn't exactly sure what to search for- tried free and webpage, didn't come up with much!

have you looked at http://www.hotscripts.com?
there might be something there you could integrate. Granted, nothing you get free is going to be all that great and you will have little help if it breaks...
Thanks, Martin- I hadn't heard of that site before, but they sure do have plenty of goodies to look at! Thanks!
I'm thinking I'm going to have to play around with a script and learn some more php. I've been wrestling with this perl script for a week now. I'm usually pretty good with perl, but this one is a nightmare and looks like a hog. I'd rather go php if I can! Will be happy to share anything I find!

You mentioned you had purchased some software for free web/email hosting. Could you please tell me what that software is and where I can find it?
I would really appreciate it, I'm looking at buying something like that.
Thanks
Jon
Sounds like TigerLily might sell you hers ;)
Actually, now that I figured out the installation, the program isn't bad at all, but it was a bear to get it customized. I still have some stuff to do to mine before it goes live. I bought Webnow200 and Mailnow2000. They are integrated, and pretty easy to manage.
Of course, they are all in perl, so they're not as configurable as vbulletin with all the great templates, but the programs aren't too bad. I'm going to integrate them into my boards later this month and see how it goes.
