What ya guys think of my new vbhome page layout?
http://www.shukenja.com/index.php

I'm still trying to match colors between, gallery, home, forum etc.. Also got the new vblinks 2.40 install.

I've almost recoded all the templates in vbhome now..

No offense, but I think it's just yet another 3-column home page like the thousands of others...

non taken, but I've put a lot into the home_ script and tweaking the tables to use the layout used in my forum :P also added my own vbhome addon for the gallery etc etc :P

Thanks, your links system works well now, can't wait to test out vb links 3.0, hoping it has sub catigories ;) Just what I was waiting for :P

Just added cleaned up vbhome archive .. few more scripts left, and some more addon pages / templates, then I can add content to the site...

Looks good. A bit dark for my tastes, but I like it.

Looks kinda flat, and the links directory still doesn't look integrated. :p (OK, I'm gonna get it now--attacked two people. *hides*)

Looks ok but as filburt said - typical 3-column layout... Also the tables are too dark with the headings and footers of each block. And the contrast of that shocking green on the dark bg makes it difficult to read :)

* Keptic walks into UseItAgain Sports, buys a nice shiny bat..and runs after nick :p

Hehe...If I had the power to change ones opinion, I would be the master of the world, but I don't thats why I am sitting on my comp right now visiting communities like this :p

looks for bat ;P

thanks for comments guys, helps me improve the site... once I get the content up, the dark background should be the last thing you see...

I've got over 2100 pages of content for 3 game guides, I'm trying to think of the best way to intergrate into the site ;) I was thinking logitech's template system

what do you guys think?

Keptic, we really ought to do some kind of collaboration... ;) This is pointless, me poking at you about appearance, and you poking at me about features. (Well, at least me poking at you about appearance.)

And, Rob, lookin' much better! The green's still a bit bright, but at least there's some contrast. As for as your content system goes, I've done something like that (not viewable by the public because it's subscription-only) for my own site... It's not quite the same--I WOULD have to do something custom--but I'd be happy to help you out... (Yes, for free.) There are some other things I want to re-jigger there too (backend-wise), though, so you'd have to allow me some creative liberty. :) PM me if you're interested.

just working some issues out, then will message ya nick ;) I keep wondering what people mean by the bright green?

I have two photopost and two vb owned licences. so two sites..

http://www.pixelfx.ca which I need to put more work into, then my game site which is much darker.

http://shukenja.com

I'm having a technical issue with the later, I'm not sure how to get a vbhome index.php to work from a sub / sub directory.

any sujestions welcome..
