Importing Large Lists of New Users

Hello Team,

I'm considering the purchase of vBulletin as it appears to be a great system and the support looks superior.

I want to create a "closed" set of message boards for a local high school. I only want students and faculty to have access. So I need to be able to create a user list, with passwords, and import them all at once.

I'm not importing these from another board. I basically want to use the same text file I use to create server accounts for everyone.

I've looked through the hack list and have not found anything of this nature.

First, is this even possible? And second, does anyone know of, or have an interest in creating such a script?

hmm i don't know from such a script, but it's possible and not hard to write.

i think it's dooable with lets say 20 lines of code..

I keep checking back here to see if anyone has some suggestions on how to do this, but all I see are comments about how easy it should be. Being new to this, I'm not even sure I'm asking for help in the right forum.

Is there anyone out there that can help me with this? My forum is set up and waiting for users... It's frustrating.

well i know it could probally be done for a small fee ( not sure how big or small but i imagine not too large )
