1. Why are you using such an old version of vBulletin?
2. Not sure in 2.0.3, but in 2.3.0, you can use HTML for the images. Something like <img src="images/image.jpg" border="0">TEXT HERE will work for your forum name.

You don't need HTML enabled, I believe.
