HELP: Need Hack to move multiple users in one group to another group

Hello, I have about 1000 members in the "Users awaiting email confirmation", and I want to move them all to registered status. is there a hack available that does this, and if not is there a way someone could create it? I would really appreciate the help, since setting 1000 people to Registered status one-by-one is just not possible.

Wasn't intentional. I set my forums to "require email validation", but my SMTP server was wrong so it never sent out the emails. Once i found out there was already 1000 people signed up who couldnt post :(

You can do this already with the current "Move/Prune" system in the control panel. This option is located under the "Users" category, and is the third option in there.

Select "Usergroup is" to "Users Awaiting E-mail Confirmation" and set "Has not logged on for x days" as "0" and press "Find Users".
Make sure all check boxes are checked.
At the bottom of the list, there is a "Do what with selected users?" option, set that to "Move to usergroup:" and select "Registered" on the drag down box.All of your users awaiting e-mail confirmation should now be in the Registered usergroup :)
