Clean install without actually installing

Instead of running the vb installer, is it possible to run the .sql script that I got from doing a dbase backup, and then upload all the php etc files to the webserver?

I know I'll have to edit the admin/config.php and set some details in the admin panel, but will this work? Is all necessary data in there then?

I'm just trying to save some time and avoid having to redo the hacks...

We had to change servers recently and were able to do it rather quickly just as you describe using phpmyadmin. Double check everything. Good Luck.
