Trading Status Hack

I've got a trading feature I'd like to see and I'm not sure how to go about doing it.

I have a section of my forum that is for trading sports cards.

I would like to have a feature that could be available in only those forums that will allow the thread starter to choose and show the status of the proposed trade.

The idea is to allow the thread starter to choose from 3 options.

-Trade Open (which will be displayed by a green icon on the thread)

-Trade Pending (which will be displayed by a yellow icon on the thread)

and

-Trade Closed (which will be displayed by a red icon on the thread)

It would also be cool if the thread could automatically be closed when the "trade closed" option was selected.

Just and idea if anyone has some free time. I think it would be an excellent addition to forums that have trading boards.

i would like to see that to but be able to choose more options and be able to put it on selective forums

Right! I could go with more options too but I figured this wouldn't be too hard for someone that know's what they are doing.

I agree with the selective forums as it is mentioned in the original request.
