1. I want to switch an ezboard forum over to vBulletin. Can I import all of the current members, along with their login names, number of posts, etc.?
2. What are the powers of a "supermoderator?" Can a supermoderator do everything that the owner can?
Thanks very much.

1. I believe for ezboard only posts can be imported. Also IIRC a team member does the import for you.
2. A supermoderator is the same as a normal mod except they can ban users and implicitly moderate all forums. I believe they also can mass move and prune.

Thank you, Filbert. I just want to make sure about this point. The old members of the ezboard forum don't have to re-register with the new v-board, right?

They do have to re-register.

The reason is simple, too: you can never directly access the database/flat files that ezboard uses, so it's not possible to directly to import them (namely, their passwords).

Thanks, Freddie and Filbert. Now I have one more question, if you please. This is about the width of the screen that I am seeing. On some of the vBoards that I have looked at, including this one, even when my screen is on "max" I still have to use the scroll bar to see the whole thing.
On this one it doesn't matter because it has a large blank border on each side.
On ezboard, however, the text automatically adjusts to whatever size you want to make your window. Can this be achieved with vBoard?
Thanks again. This is very useful to me.

Yes, all you need to do is set the table width to a percentage rather than a fixed pixel width.

Thanks, Steve. Can I do this from the Administrator's Control Panel? I don't see the "table width" feature under vBulletin options.

Steve, a friend of mine just purchased vBulletin, and she is letting me look at her control board.
Insanctus, what don't you like about ezboard? I like it OK, but VB seems MUCH faster, plus it has so many features that I am just now trying to learn about. But I was quite satisfied with their support staff. On the other hand, I have heard that these guys are even better.:)
Orican, I tried to find a preview demo available to pre-subscribers, but without success. Do you know where one is?
Thanks to all,
Larry (Mathman)

vB3 is so so so much faster... once you've tried it there's no going back...
