Multiple Separate Announcements?

Does a hack like this already exist? I tried a search and couldn't find any info.

I'm just looking for a hack to the announcements that allows the admin to create separate announcements that can be listed in multiple forums.

I've seen this on other boards, complete with the announcement icon, so I know they are not just using sticky posts.

Please let me know if this exists for vB 2.3.0, thanks!
