chron jobs

hi i got the sig stats thing installed and it works fine, but, when i run the cron jobs from my cpanel it is not running the php every so many minutes as it should, can some1 explaint o me how to do it exactly.

That also means the script itself is dying because it doesn't have permission to do whatever it's supposed to be doing.

woops i guess i forgot to chmod it, i put it to 777, it should work now?

Try logging out and then viewing the page as a guest, and you'll see what I mean.

Keep in mind I haven't personally used his hack (I'm using my own), but I'm making some assumptions. Have you searched the hack thread to see if anybody else has had your problem?

You can't cron the script itself because PHP isn't a shell scripting language. Ask your host how you can cron PHP scripts via the php executable.
