Hi All,

I would really like to offer my members the ability to upload files with an extension '.swf' and view them by clicking on the attached link AND/OR viewing them actually in the thread.

I have allowed it in the admin > attachments section .... but when i attach a .swf, and click on it...i just get a browser window with the attached pic.

All i want to do is have the ability to attach .swf files and be able to click on it and view the flash movie in the new browser window that pops up.

(Off course the member needs to have flash installed...but i have ...and cant get it working)

Any help VERY much appreciated

Cheers all

Paul

phpbb allows this. My buddy uploaded a flash avatar that then captured all the usernames and password for the site. I really don't think this is a good idea.

What ryans said, Flash causes major XSS issues (especially with avatars)
