Idiotic "searchindex" and "word" Tables

I think we all know it - 9/10 of every vBulletin MySQL database takes those two tables searchindex and word. It is no good. I have a small board, but they eat 3mb, and every time I download the backup, I need to download 9 times more, than it could be. Is there any solution, to remake the search and cut of the word table, yet not ruining the whole structure?

you don't need to backup the searchindex and word tables, too.

whenever you restore a backup, you just have to reindex the searchindex and all is good. :)
