Funny shapes on the outside of a new button

Assistance please :)

I'm using my old buttons purchased from another place to make new buttons as needed with existing letters (Thanks Filburt) but I'm getting these "strange" corner images as if they are not transparent... Any assistance on this would be great. Below is a photo showing the difference. The button on the LEFT is how it should look, the one on the RT is how it DOES look.

Yes, however I didn't do anything to those areas of the picture? That part is a direct "copy" from the board with the existing picture with out the problem.

I only cut and pasted the center text... Any other idea?
