Being able to provide your members with an extended AIM profile (a la subprofile.com) would be cool.
There's already a script (http://www.mesoazn.com/html/subprofile.php) out there that does this, is there any way to integrate it?
There's also a free one from sourceforge (http://sourceforge.net/projects/aimprofiler) but it doesn't use MySQL.
Anyone want to do this?

Will do. Might sell it though, depending on how hard it is to code (shouldn't be very hard).
edit: will this be in the user's profile page or a standalone page?

Here are 3 scripts that you can take a look at to get an idea of what it is. 2 of them are pretty much the same

Lol...
@filburt - The question is, will you charge, and if you do, how much;)
*is determined to beat filburt if possible:p*

Do it for free Chris then you'd surely beat ol' filbie

Not if he does it for free;):p
Satan
Yes but I bet you could code faster than him :)

I will use a free version if there is one, have to save my pennies for a webmail solution.

Hehe, webmail :D
It all depends on what the original hack author wants...again reiterating that it would be nice if he replies...

This would be interesting; I could also give this a go maybe. Also agree that more details are required in order to advance in the creation of this hack.

Ok here is what I was going to request.
I would like to at least see the ability or have the feature that will let everybody have there own subprofile.
The subprofile could contain the normal extra info, in addition to the slew of other stuff that you can put in there. Some have polls, mini journal entries or whatever. I would like to see something that would let you toss in links or pull your latest thread posts or perhaps stats.
Thats what I would like to see.

What you are asking for is really just a bunch of hacks bundled together onto one page...
It is doable, but then again mostly done apart from pulling all of them together into one page:(

how about personal polls? would that be hard to do? The page is going to have a ton of queries running ;)

Whoa, I hadn't realized that there were replies! My extended apologies to y'all, and thanks for the patience!
What I had envisioned would be code (javascript, perhaps?) that an AOL Instant Messaging user could put in his profile. That code would then call this yet-to-be-coded script, which would display whatever options the user chose.
User options would be (and now I quote from above referenced site): "Can edit color style for there aim profile, add as much text, Block users from viewing profile, Add personal message to a aim user when they view subprofile, reset vistor views, enable/disable guestbook, delete guestbook entries, edit order how guestbook will appear, add sub pages, add web links, add other subprofile members profile, make up a quiz, add a count down, add a poll, add/delete/clear journal, and get HTML code!"
I imagine we could also have options to display various fields from their vB profile, such as YHM/ICQ/ETC. info, birthday, website, etc.
If you have AIM, you can sign up for a test account at http://www.sng.net/aim/ and check out their features. I'm basically looking for what they offer, but integrated with the vBulletin database.
Thanks again!

I feel the USER CP can actually be converted to that and also include some extra features as what others mentioned here.
Finally, who is coding it now ?
Cheers
