What is this?
This script is a database importer ("converter"), which enables you to import all relevant data from your existing ThWBoard database into a vBulletin database.
For which versions of the forums has it been written?
This converter has been tested on ThwBoard 3 Beta 2.8, vBulletin 2.2.8 and vBulletin 2.3.0. It will definitively work together with all ThwBoard 3 Beta 2.8x versions and vBulletin 2.2.9 as well. Most likely it will even work with ThWBoard 2.7x and any vBulletin version 2.x.x as well, but this is not yet confirmed.
How do I use this converter?
Please referr to the readme file which is contained in the attached ZIP archive.
What else should I be aware of?
Neither the author of this converter, not the vBulletin Team (Jelsoft staff) do take any responsibility for loss of data or any other negative aspect that might result when using this script (thwb2vb.php). Use it at your own risk!
However, the risk of loosing data is almost zero, because existing data is only read, but never changed or deleted.
RECENT SCRIPT VERION: 1.0 Alpha 1
DATE: 25th May 2003
History:
1.0 Alpha 1: first release. Worked fine in my own tests.
