THE MASS OPEN THREADS SYSTEM CAN BE FOUND HERE (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?postid=397479#post397479)

PLEASE CLICK HERE IF YOU HAVE INSTALLED THIS HACK, THANKS IN ADVANCE! (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/misc.php?s=&action=install&threadid=53149)

What does this hack do?

You use this hack to mass close old threads, so that people won't bump them back up by replying to them. This sometimes happens when people don't look at the thread's date, or when they just want to improve their post count. This hack also works especially well with Mass Open Threads System (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?postid=397479#post397479), so that you can always reverse your actions if you ever need to.

How do I install this hack?

Simply follow the instructions in the attached file!

Cool dude. I notived you saw my request. Thanks. This is great.

Do you think you could make it so there is an option to mass open too? Like if you mess up and don't want to manually go through all your threads? I would think it would just be using all the same cose with different actions and instead of open=0 you would put open=1??

What does this hack do?

You use this hack to mass open threads. It works extremely well in conjunction with this hack (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?s=&threadid=53141), just in case you need to mass open threads that you have closed.

How do I install this hack?

Heh. ;)

I thought it was easy. You could have probably made it part of the same hack though. :)

Cool.

Cool.

Yes, but I made a separate thread because some people might be looking for a mass open threads system, without looking for a mass closing threads system ;)

Yeah. A suggestion for both of these. If someone accidentally closes a bunch of threads and wants to open, they will most likely want to have an "Open threads AFTER a cetrain date" feature as well. Or an option to choose after or before. :) Keep up the good work. :)

Interesting - when I have some free time, I will implement this feature into the two hacks.

Good idea.
Wonder why it hadn't been touched all this time?
Keep up the good work.
/me installs.

Something's weird.. it doesn't let you confirm, it just does it. The "The selected threads are now opened." appears on the same page as "Are you <b>sure</b> you want to mass open all of the.." etc. And it automatically confirms it.

*merged*

there is really no need for two nearly equal hacks.

Opne/Close in title will allow users to find both

Won't the "Spin Threads" hack do this and a lot more? And all you have to do is tick the threads you want to close/open/move/delete with that hack.

There is. It's called the "Spin Threads" hack. It was done by scsa20. ;)

I just looked at the other hack and they are very different. This hack should be allowed to stay.

The other hack is a system for sorting through threads and selectively closing, deleting, moving them, and this hack is simply a way to either close or open threads in bulk according to the last reply date. (I think last reply..?)

:)

The Spin Threads hack will do the same thing and you don't even have to know the ID numbers.

Gary W, why don't you implement a drop down or something similar to make it easier to pick the threads to work with? (Or does this already have that? (I haven't looked at it yet, sorry. ;))

For this hack, you can either specify how old the thread must be before it gets closed, and/or which forum(s) the threads are located in.

But you still have to know the forum ids, right? A lot of newbies might not know how to get that info. ;)

No, it has as dropdown box where you can select which forum ;)
