Hello !
I have a vb licence, but i need vb 2.2.9
Support has no solution for me :(
I have problems and i need o upgrade.
I have vb 2.3.0, but many hacks dont work on this version :(
I have attachment as files and this is a big problem !
If someone has his version plz send it to webmaster@softnews.ro

A better solution would be to post in the support threads for hacks you're having problems with and describe the situation.
Nobody can send you any full vB files.

I did this, but no result :(
It seems like vb 3.0 paralized the support for 2.3.0
On 2.3.0 you can post and edit the attachment file.
Using attachment as files hack the old attachment is not deleted from the ftp, because this feture was not included on earlyer versions of vb.
And why no one can send me the vb 2.2.9 archive ?
I own a vb licence.
Here is the response form support:
We don't make older versions of vBulletin downloadable. It's your responsibility to save the old zip files. You might try
contacting the hack author to get this hack working with vB 2.3.0.
vBulletin 3 is currently in private beta testing. We don't have a firm ETA right now.
Let me know if you have any other questions.

Rephrased: nobody can legally send you vB, regardless of whether you own a license.

But why can't the VB team just give that 2.2.9 zip file?
It is not logical. The man has payed his license. He just needs the file again. This should be his right!
I had the same problem once. I sended a message to vb support and got almost identical answer in return. However I can understand that they cannot provide any "support" to older editions due to security and bla bla..
But I had luck that I save all my downloads regarding vb, so I found v2.2.9 and could return to old fashion. So my suggestion is: Always keep a copy of your vbulletin download, it only takes up ~500kb ;)

It is illegal to send or share any vB files. Thread closed.
